Project: Affect & Assemblages Branding
Date: 2019
Description: Affect & Assemblages, a (hypothetical) traveling lecture series, explores how social relations of “compassion” have been used to gloss over gaps in the promises of democracy that hierarchies of class, race, and gender create. The class asks questions such as, how do these assemblages operate? or come into existence? How do they transform and move through culture and create indentations. To encapsulate this class, it can be defined under the keywords breakage and impact, which were driving forces in creating this identity.
